‘Hindu Legal Cell’ set up to offer legal assistance to Hindus on problems related to Dharma

Hindu Legal Cell [HCL] is  an organization setup 6 months back by about 100 advocates from all over India, with the aim to tackle any perceived insults against the faith, besides fighting for “Hindu human rights”.

According to HCL website their main 3 objectives are:

Hindu Legal Cell aims to remain rooted local and address the issues with national level. Hindu Legal Cell aims to empower hindus with legal knowledge and a sense of justice. Thereby to bring radical changes in society to create just social structures. Thus help people to live in harmony and brotherhood.
Hindu Legal Cell’ is committed to legal justice, sustainable development and human rights for Hindus. (“Hindu” is attributed to all persons professing any Indian religion i.e. Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism or Sikhism).

Hindu Legal Cell shall focus on the issues where any violation of religious rights or the basic fundamental rights of Hindus and any defamation act against Hindu god, Hindu culture in media, Entertainment or film industry.

HCL came to limelight recently with the launch of law suit against the movie PK. In a statement, Patel has alleged that the makers have portrayed Lord Shiva in a bad light and has further alleged that disapproving comments on Hindu rituals have been made in the film, which has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus.
